Our 100 days of travel began in Vietnam with a motorcycle tour from the South to the middle of the country, going through the central highlands before finishing in Hoi An. From there, we took a sleeper bus to Hue and spent two days exploring the Imperial city. We then hopped a train back to Da Nang, travelling over the Hai Van Pass. That same day we flew to Haiphong in the North of Vietnam. We stayed overnight here before travelling to Cat Ba Island via a bus, then a ferry, then a minivan. We were pretty relieved to get in to our room and rest for a few days! After Cat Ba we travelled to the capital; Hanoi. We spent a few days here luxuriating in our upgraded room, then we were off to Sa Pa on the sleeper train. After four foggy and cold days in Sa Pa, we spent one final night in Dien Bien Phu. At 5am the next day, we were off on the next leg of our journey, heading over the hills to Laos.
